Thank you Deb for letting me know about this! Much appreciated.

I actually predicted that autistic people would be superior in performance in this type of task than normal people years ago, and I advocated that researchers should do studies just like this one. I used to be a psych student at uni and independently of my studies I was absolutely fascinated by the psychology of decision-making and biases in decision making.

My guess is that there might be no difference in the reasoning of autistic and non-autistic people, it may be the case that the "normal" people knowingly give responses that they know are irrational or know may be irrational for social reasons (to "save face").
